After graduating from Mount St. Mary’s University with a bachelor’s degree, I felt a strong pull to return to Deep Creek Lake, driven by my passion for its natural beauty and vibrant community. Now, as a wife and mother of two, my family and I continue to embrace and share this passion for all that Deep Creek Lake has to offer. My husband and I also enjoy giving back to our community by volunteering year-round for local youth sports, staying active and involved alongside our children.

In addition to my work with Railey Realty, I’ve owned and operated Railey Design for over 15 years, leading a talented team of designers to transform houses into homes. We specialize in creating functional, beautiful spaces through thoughtful design, personalized service, and full-service home setup. From furniture selection to staging and preparing homes for first-night readiness, my experience with Railey Design allows me to offer unique insights and added value to my real estate clients, helping them envision the full potential of a property.

My connection to Deep Creek Lake runs even deeper through my family’s history and legacy in the area. The Railey family’s involvement in shaping Deep Creek Lake began in the early 1920s when my great-grandfather, C.M. Railey, played a critical role in the lake’s creation. Working alongside the Pennsylvania Electric Company, he led a skilled logging crew to clear the trees and prepare the land that would soon become the lakebed. This monumental effort was pivotal in the development of the lake, which was completed in 1925.

Following the lake’s creation, the Railey family continued to contribute to the community’s growth. My great-grandparents established the Lakeside Park & Stone Tavern and built and rented stone cottages, creating one of the first commercial cottage rental enterprises in the area. This legacy of hospitality and innovation laid the foundation for the family’s next chapter in real estate. In 1974, my grandparents, Sis and Jim Railey, founded Railey Realty, driven by their vision to help others discover the magic of Deep Creek Lake.

Over the decades, Railey Realty has become the leading real estate brokerage in Garrett County, built on trust, service, and a deep commitment to the community. Today, as a proud third-generation member of Railey Realty, I am honored to continue this legacy, combining my family’s rich history with my personal dedication to providing exceptional service.
